Abandonment Hurts!

An incident left us heartbroken. A male calf, just a few days old, was left abandoned on the street. A vehicle had run over him and left an open gash (wound) and fractured his legs. The calf was seen desperately fighting for his life.

Thanks to Mr Arun Rajendran, the kind-hearted Rescuer, who rushed him to our sanctuary in time. Our care team immediately provided emergency treatment to control the blood loss and relieve the pain with medicines.

The little one is finally safe ❤️‍🩹, out of danger. He’s Veer, the courageous one.

Veer is healing, nourished, and held with love, which he truly deserves. Our caretakers feed him gently, reminding him every day that he matters 💖

(Male calves are abandoned and deprived of their mother’s milk, as they are perceived as a burden, only because they do not generate economic “value” to the dairy industry 😔)
