On 11 December 2025, while I was travelling near Maraimalai Nagar, I noticed a long container truck. The vehicle was leaking foul-smelling liquid (a mixture of dung and urine) and I immediately understood that cattle were being transported illegally. An incident left us heartbroken. A male calf, just a few days old, was left abandoned on the street. A vehicle had run over him and left an open gash (wound) and fractured his legs. The calf was seen desperately fighting for his life. Thanks to Mr Arun Rajendran, the kind-hearted Rescuer, who rushed him to our sanctuary in time.
