A Tale of Timely Rescue!

On the night of November 22^nd, Sai Vignesh (our founder) received a call from Ms Sandhya about a mother cow, her male calf, and another adult cow being taken inside an illegal slaughter shed.

From the video, the calf can be seen drinking milk and the mother affectionately licking her baby, totally unaware that they were taken to be killed.

As a timely intervention, our founder filed a police complaint. Thanks to the support of the police authorities, all three animals were rescued and brought to the safety of the sanctuary.

(The act of slaughter is illegal under the Tamil Nadu Preservation Act, 1958, and Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960)

Today, we witnessed an act of motherly compassion, of love, when one of the rescued cows began feeding another orphaned calf. The compassion in their hearts continues to teach us the true meaning of unconditional love.
