Painful and shocking incident of extreme animal cruelty!!! 💔

In the early hours of January 1, 2026, at Selai, Egattur, Thiruvallur district, we found an injured pregnant cow who had been shot with a gun, causing several grave injuries to both hind legs.
The cow was rescued and immediately brought to our sanctuary at Sendrayanpalayam, Thiruvallur. Initiated an X-Ray examination and ensured immediate treatment. The test confirmed the presence of metal ball bearing gun pellets, lodged inside the body.
Sai Vignesh (our founder) registered a complaint with the Thiruvallur Taluk Police, submitting the detailed veterinary medico-legal report that confirmed firearm injury. The Police investigation found that the cow was deliberately shot to injure and steal for slaughter.
The culprit has been successfully arrested and remanded to judicial custody. He has been booked under Section 325 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, and the Arms Act, and is currently in prison.
Sadly, the cow (Kalpana) succumbed to septic shock. Despite all the treatment, we couldn’t save her. 💔
