How Vicky came to our sanctuary

Vicky lost everything he knew—his owners, an elderly couple who passed away.💔 After the recent loss of his owner, Vicky would often howl in grief, and refused to eat for 1 whole week. His sadness was truly heartbreaking as much as his loyalty and love was so inspiring.

When we found him, he didn’t want to leave the house. But we couldn’t leave him behind. We started to feed and treat Vicky right where he felt safest. With time, he started trusting us and grew attached to us.

Vicky is now under care at the sanctuary, and is being treated for a skin infection. He doesn’t connect with other dogs. Due to this, we couldn’t place him in a common shelter. Instead, we’ve given him a separate space where he can heal at his own pace. ❤️‍🩹
