I got a call about a young male calf struggling to survive on the streets—walking on just three legs for over a month!
When we reached him, we discovered the heartbreaking truth: he had been run over by a vehicle long ago, leaving his hind leg fractured. Yet, he received no medical care and was left to fend for himself—simply because he was born male. In the dairy industry, male calves are often seen as ‘waste’—many are sent to slaughter, while others are abandoned to suffer on the streets.
We couldn’t let that be his fate. 💙 We rescued him and brought him to our sanctuary, where he will finally receive the love and care he deserves. Though his leg has healed incorrectly, making it impossible for him to walk on all fours again, he will live a safe, comfortable, and happy life with us.
Every life matters. Every being deserves compassion.
