A Second Chance for a Brave Calf

On September 13th, we received a call that left us heartbroken. A young calf had been lying on the road for two days after being hit by a vehicle. He was badly injured, his mouth bleeding, and he was too weak to eat or drink on his own. For those two days, he endured pain and fear, waiting for someone to notice and help.

When our team reached him, we knew time was critical. With gentle hands and urgent care, we brought him back to the sanctuary and immediately began treatment. His injuries were severe, but his spirit was strong. Slowly, with medical attention and constant care, he began to show signs of recovery.

Today, just days after his rescue, we see hope shining through his resilience. He is now able to drink vegetable juice and wheat bran water, and even chew on hay and grass again. Each small step he takes towards recovery is a reminder of how powerful compassion can be.

This little calf’s story is not just about rescue—it is about second chances. It is about what happens when care, patience, and kindness replace neglect and suffering. Every life, no matter how small, deserves to be seen, nurtured, and given the opportunity to heal.
