Say Moo to Firefly !

Rescue Story

Around 2 AM of November 1st, I gathered information about few illegal slaughtersheds and informed the local police.
Once the police came, the slaughtersheds were raided and nearly 8 cattle were rescued on the same day including pregnant cows and calves.

But in one of the slaughter sheds we were unable find any bovine after searching for a long time.
We then decided to depart from the place and got onto our vehicle, when I heard a faint "Moooo" sound. Under an instinct, I followed the sound  and could hear it stronger and stronger until I came to a midst of a bush. They had tied her legs and neck to a tree and she was giving out sounds under distress. It really seemed that she could sense that someone was there to rescue her and did not give up on her hope and will to live. We rescued her immediately and now she has a forever home at the Sanctuary where she will know only kindness and love.
She's pretty old but very sweet and calm.

Baby Nala and her mom

Say hello to Baby Nala and her Mom Sarafina !

Rescue Story

Sarafina was pregnant with Nala when she was on the way to be slaughtered along with 6 buffaloes.
They were cramped up in the back of a truck bruised and in pain due to chilly powder application.
During the night of August 31st, 2020 I was feeding the dogs when I saw a vehicle speeding,
I chased the vehicle, stopped it and called the police to the location. The police and I were horrified at the cruelty. A case was registered a case against the animals abusers and they were rescued and shifted to the sanctuary for further care. In the month of February, Sarafina gave birth to the beautiful Nala  who will only know affection. Nala is always a happy girl who loves flaunting her cute teeth.

Say Hi to Nihu!

Nihu is high-spirited goat who loves human company and foraging shrubs. It was sad to know that she was about to be slaughtered when she was pregnant. Fortunately with the help of police we rescued her and she now lives happily at the sanctuary. We are expecting new kids to join the goat tribe soon!
